  10. I used a USR 14.4 modem for years but recently a friend gave me a Zoom
  11. v.34x modem he wasn't using anymore. I can get it to connect at this
  12. provider at 21.6 but only 19.2 on my ppp account. I am wondering if anyone
  13. has a better initialization string than I have.

  15. Also, I have gpfax class one and this new modem is supposed to be both
  16. class 1 and 2 but , although it initializes ok, it makes the call and
  17. negotiates but then hangs up after dropping to 2400 and reports modem
  18. error. Does anyone know what initialization string to you with gpfax for a
  19. zoom modem?
